Some backround on how I set up my kits: I need each drum instrument to be routed to its own output. So use a layer for each drum instrument. Kick-layer 1, snare=layer 2, ect. I then assign each layer to its own out by using either output 1, 2 or 3, and panning each layer hard right or left. Once I add both links to a preset, I'm able to send 6 sounds to 6 outputs separately. This limits what I can do to each drum sound, but I have to set it up this way for mixing purposes. Any way... I am looking for some ideas for drum sounds. I could use some suggestions on filters, LFOs, auxes and anything else that effects the sounds. I could also use some suggestions on routing patchords. I use maybe 2 or 3 patches per layer. The stock presets use all 24 per layer. At the same time, the stock kits sound thicker and fuller than mine. I would simply tweak the stock presets, but they're set up to send the entire kit to 1 stereo output. I'm looking for realistic, but aggresive sounding drums. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
