Keep us posted.  The knob problem that you referred to was the 
encoder problem that was experienced on alot of the modules.  I was 
able to get a new encoder board for my P2K and I just bent the bi-
metal on the XL to make better encoder contact(transmit) with the 
circuit board (receiver)since that one was not soldered on my unit.
