Same happened to me. I thought mine had broken away from the PCB but 
it had just un-clipped itself from the board.
I managed to pop in back in..
Your right in what you say though.. all those USB, Firewire etc 
connections are very prone to damage.
I managed to repair a friends ipod yesterday. They had managed to 
break off the firewire socket. Not only that, they found that if they 
forced the plug in the socket and moved it around with force (enough 
to make big black slodges on the LCD!!! animals..)that it might make 
a connection and start charging.
The out come of all this was they had managed to break a track in the 
middle layer of the PCB, so even though i soldered the socket back on 
it still didnt work. 45mins later with a multimeter and magnifiing 
glass i sussed out what was wrong. re-conected the ground to a 
convenient point and it burst into life..
So yes whatch out for that one..

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
