Thanks for the links; the sites were quite informative.  Haven't run 
the timing utility yet, but it looks interesting.  I had trouble 
syncing the original E-Mu OS that came with my P2500 with Cakewalk, 
but OS2.0 sees to have solved those problems.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
