Thanks. I never would have thought of that, actually. I'm used to working on an MPC2000; in that sequencer you can dial up your sequence to any particular clock tick, from any screen in which that would be applicable. I'm shocked that the XL-7 can't do that, but I guess this is the only place in the UI it's really necessary. The other thing I'm really missing is an 'Undo' feature in real-time record mode. How could E-Mu have left that out? It's not too bad when creating a new track, only takes a few seconds to get to the Erase Track screen, but when tweaking a pre-existing track the workflow seems scary if you make a mistake.
