Makes sense to have a canned lead (or harmony/counterpoint) on 
seperate designated channels (with no realtime volume in there) and 
play-though live on a different channel.

Fantastic!!  With enough practice I may get to master hardware-based 
song-writing, composing, and orchestration on the E-Mu sequencer.
