need to make sure i am understanding you right. You are trying to take lets say sequencer track 9 and use it on midi channel 9. It is set to BOTH and you are not getting program changes in external gear. Is that right? Ya I can't make that work. I just thought I would try a few things as I just took a few min out and did but ya it seems that you cant send program changes to both internal and external gear off the same channel at the same time.
