Thanks for the replies. Re: (2) I found the the EVENT SOURCE menu and will play around with that. Thanks for pointing me in that direction. Re: (1) In song/step mode I created a chain of patterns. Then I over dubbed the midi sax in song/realtime mode. When playing back the song, the mute buttons only turn on/off pattern tracks. I was trying to do a music-minus-one thing where I have some performance options to (1) to mute the realtime data, (2) to play harmony/counterpoint to the realtime track, etc. It seems like there is just one song/realtime mode track. This track can be routed to MultiA OR MultiB with none, int, ext, both destinations. SO, I duplicated each of the individual patterns and laid down some lines with the midi sax on a pattern by pattern basis and created a new song chain of just patterns. (This gave me good practice doing mulitple retakes--I just left the pattern edit menu at erase track. Couldn't be easier!) It would seem (in theory at least) I can copy the song chain and just set up different intros as my first pattern with mute configurations for the different music-minus-one options. Thats for another day. Looking forward to having songs in a box without having to cart around a computer. --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, erik_magrini@B... wrote: > 1.
