RE: [xl7] Re: XX7 vs Doepfer Pocket Dial

The Doepfer Regelwerk can do what you want. All it needs is for the XX7 to
send out the controller values. The Regelwek tracks the controller values
then updates the corresponding fader on the Regelwerk and won't output any
cc changes until you move the fader through that value.

Obviously, if you change the 'multisetup' on the Regelwerk, it forgets all
previous tracked values and you're back to square one. Also, the Regelwerk
is physically almost as big as an XX-7...

They explain it on the doepfer site very well. If you try it out and
it works then please send me an email!!! as i wll run out and buy a
pocket dial in a second!!

In short from old memory, the xl would have to sent sysex peramiters
to the pocket dial so it knows where the dials are and the xl dont do
that. The second way it can work it if xl will respond to simple +
and - info but i dont think it do that either. This stuff is old in
my mind but i talked with Aaron about it here through the board and
in the end i did not buy a pocket dial.

Do a search for Dial and you may come up with the old posts.

Peace
