That's actually insanely useful live though. One of the best things about the XX-7's is also a weakness to some extent, in that it can create incredibly deep, subsonic sounds. Not a problem in the studio when you can EQ those out during the mixdown, but live it can wreak havoc on pa's. Having a compressor there on the main out to tame the peaks and help it sound more cohesive is IMO one of the best things about the mc909. I definitely WOULD NOT use that for mastering my tracks if I was recording them to a PC though, there's far better tools for that kind of job. rEalm The EQ and Compressor are very nice, but you can only make one setting and use it (or not) on all 16 channels.
