Hehehe well I knew you could install ROMs. What I didn't know is that
all the P2K racks are simply generic P2K racks with a standard EMU
sound ROM in them, that can be moved! Anyway, I've successfully
transferred over the Planet Earth ROM, and all is well! I also bought
a ROM online - nice sale EMU is having.

So I guess I have an empty Planet Earth chassis to sell now too. :-)

OK one question. My Planet Earth only has three SIMM sockets. Two
over on the left (when facing the front of the unit), and one on the
right near the power supply. There are also two templates on the
motherboard for additional SIMM sockets, but they are empty - no
sockets installed there.

ANYWAY so my question is this - what is the SIMM socket on the right
over by the power supply? It has a 72-pin SIMM in it that says
"Advantage" on it, along with two chips labeled as follows:

AMC 55954
Repton IM434
A132-1x16-66T-EMU
B5117-37W21886

and

an OKI Thailand chip with inscrutable numbers on it

Is this thing a Flash RAM SIMM by any chance? I was afraid to bring
it over to the PX7 for fear of frying something, but if it's a
standard EMU Flash RAM I'd hate for it to go to waste ... ;-)
