Re: [xl7] Re: Anyone using a midi guitar with the XL-7?

To be honest, I gave up on the MIDI guitar thing after
being a user for the last 10 years. (my last use was
with a yamaha G50 and the roland converter on a
Steinberger) Yeah, it tracked OK, but let me tell
you, your synth will come alive when you play it with
an actual good (not cheezy oxygen8s or similar
keyboards) MIDI keyboard controller. I invested in
the Novation Remote25 and a month after I realized I
had not used the MIDI converter in all that time and
I'd actually become fairly good at the keyboard.
Pitch to MIDI has come a long way... but it still
doesn't cut the mustard IMO. When you play a Sitar
patch with aftertouch set to detune on a good MIDI
controller, you'll know exactly what I'm talking
about.

just my 3 cents.
