Mike, This may not help, but when I got my new PX7 recently, it had a mute button that would work when pressed at the top edge but wouldn't work when pressed toward the bottom edge. I was intending to return it for another one, but,in desperation/frustration, decided to try hosing it out with a portable air compressor (w/ nozzle attachment) and, unbelievably, it started working just fine. This button felt like it should work, i.e., the same action as the others, but just wasn't making complete contact, apparently. If your's feels different than the others, it probably is something more mechanically wrong. Still, if you have access to a low power air compressor (we used to use this one for a yearly cleaning in a computer lab), you might give it a try. I've never opened my Emu, so I don't know if you could get any better access to the keys from inside or not. (I just shot the air right down through the front panel, while working the button.) Probably a long shot, but ya never know; certainly a pleasant surprise to me.
