RE: [xl7] Grr!

Thanks for the ideas, but I tried a Reset last night and it's still there.
Unless you mean reflash as in reload the OS? Hopefully that fixes it,
right now the whole box feels very sluggish, and it's hard to work with it
like that. It does seem like I didn't see this issues before my last
Compact, so hopefully that's what caused it and Reflash works.

1) Backup all your patches and do a full midi dump to a NEW patch library
(If the patches themselves are corrupted you won't want to overwrite your
old ones) etc.

2) re-flash your memory

What I think it may be is Cell decay (Leading to corruption) from the
various patch writes. You may be hitting it first because you have
consistently been using your Command Station more than most of us on this
list. I think that when you reflash it must check to see if the cell has
gone bad and writes to an alternate cell that is fine. The compact
operation forces a lot of writes across a large number of cells, that is
one
of the reasons it isn't an automatic function - and it may have been the
straw that broke the camels back.

Just a thought,
Andre
