The limits of creating custom drumsets. you can't create custom drumsets. ok, only kinda sorta true... there is no "drum mode" where you can assign a sound per key, so the less clever will stop there. that said, by using a combination of note ranges, instrument layers and preset linking you can create a totally custom kit with this limitation: it can have a max of 12 waves total...so that could be 12 different drums or 6 drums with dual-stacked waves, etc. do this over 2 channels, and suddenly you can double the numbers... so it can be done, and in fact, it offers more flexibility than many devices with a dedicated "drum mode". given your programming skill, Matt, I know you would be able to not just use this method, but do cool stuff with it! ;) > 2.
