What if you don't have the PurePhatt ROM? I'm full up with ROMs, but I *hate* the XL-7 patterns. Not my cup of tea. I'd like to try out some more hip-hop/r&b patches that might be on the MP-7, but I wonder what would happen if I tried it. Could I just manually go in and reset instruments for tracks as I like? I'd also like to sell my XL-7 ROM and replace it with a Protean Drum ROM, but I'm wondering what havoc would that cause.
