I use the channels. Also, I have a few expansion ROM's split across those devices. P2500 with S. Orchestra and Techno XL-7 with ZR and World MP-7 with Beat Garden (Vintage on order) Also, I like having a lot of patterns/parts available at once so I don't have to change programs. The set up is designed for quick writing and arranging of songs. I normally set up a buch of parts on each device, then experiement until I get an arrangement I like. Then I dump everything to Sonar II, embelish some parts, and farm some parts out to soft synths or other hardware. It is a very easy and quick way to work and the Emu's are a great value.
