If you say it works on your machine, maybe I can hope to see it run smoothly on mine someday ! I mean it's a proof that this machine is capable of doing such a thing, so this is a good news for me ! >Have you tried compacting your user memory lately? No I have'nt tried this, but now you mention compacting, it makes me think that I recently added more than 70 drum patterns in the machine and after this I ran into problems...I usually never compact myself but rather let the machine do it when it's necessary, but this time i think this is definitely something to try .... > I know it's a last shot, but sometimes I feel the XX-7's seem to >really respond a lot less smoothly right before the user memory >needs to be compacted. I feel you could be damn right! I often noticed differences in performance but don't know if it has something to do with user memory...Ha.. if only Aaron could explain to us from time to time some aspects of this machine as compacting for example : Does it uses only one writing in memory ?(it involves the whole memory so...) and dumping a preset bank is one or 127 writings in memory ? what is really compacting on xx7, and what will happen to our machines once we have passed the 50.000 writings in memory? Above all, what can cause timing discrepancies on the XL7 ? So much questions ....that will be gone with the wind ..I fear.... Anyway, thank you very much for your highly appreciated help rEalm !
