Jupiter 6 vs Juno 60

Jupiter 6 vs Juno 60

2007-11-02 by dustin_mclean

Hi I'm trying to decide on an analog polysynth and my options are a
juno 60 or a Jupiter 6. I know the Jupiter 6 is highly regarded/sought
after but it is also heaps more expensive. How much better is a jup 6
than a juno 60 in peoples opinions? or are they just different?

The Jup 6 has midi (albeit early implementation) while the juno 60 has
DCB and would require an adapter to get midi in/out. The Jup has 2 VCO
osc while the Juno has 1. The Jup has more modulation options than the
Juno. The Jup is rarer and more expensive. The Jup looks a hair cooler
with all its lights and slightly more modern industrial design.

Both sound really good, both have memory for storing patches.

I've owned several Juno's (both 6 and 60), but have only admired the
Jup 6 from a distance;^)
