I'm ordering my cases and want to make sure that I'll be set for future modules. The front/back depth of the case which modules can occupy is eight inches. Will this be enough for future modules such as the sequencer? I am aware of the stability issue, but these will have lids on the back and will sit tilted back on stands. Ivan

Ivan, I think Paul has been keeping the modules so they will always fit into those SKB 12 U cases that pop up so 8" should be plenty. However...where are you planning to put your power supply? If you are planning to put it in the rear of your case, you will need to plan a bit carefully to have enough clearance for the power supply and the modules together. Worst case, you would have to put multiple panels and EGs in front of the power supply if the space is too tight. I'm planning on 8.5" and I'll need to mount the PowerOne supply sideways on the bottom of the case to make sure it clears all the modules. I just don't want rears of modules poking out the back when I remove the rear lid. Ivan

I do not plan for the sequencer to be deeper than other modules. It will use surface-mount technology (pre-assembled, like the '900 supply). I *would* mount it on the lower half of a rack: it *will* be heavy! What? Pre-assembled?!? Nooooooo!!! How could you do this to us?!? I was looking forward to spending 24 straight hours with a solder gun in hand... --PBr :)

Sorry, couldn't resist. I do however wonder about the future of us hobbyist types who enjoy picking up the soldering iron and clipping leads. I've played with SMT and it isn't fun... or practical to do at home. Ivan

I't not *all* assembled, just some of it. Sheesh.
