Ivan, I think Paul has been keeping the modules so they will always fit into those SKB 12 U cases that pop up so 8" should be plenty. However...where are you planning to put your power supply? If you are planning to put it in the rear of your case, you will need to plan a bit carefully to have enough clearance for the power supply and the modules together. Worst case, you would have to put multiple panels and EGs in front of the power supply if the space is too tight. I'm planning on 8.5" and I'll need to mount the PowerOne supply sideways on the bottom of the case to make sure it clears all the modules.
