FW: [motm] .com to MOTM adapter problem? & newbie introduction

Hello, and welcome!

This was probably a typo, but you don't really mean that you're using a
+/-5v power supply, correct...?

Hello,
I am new to the group this is my first post. The problem is that my
MOTM 440vcf is hardly audible when the resonance knob is not at or
above 7, and at this setting theres not much versatility for a wide
variety of sounds. I am using a .com power supply +/-5V with the single
adapter from .com. It is not the module because I sent it back to paul
s. and he checked it out and everything was in good working order for
him. So I just put in an order for the MOTM-995 adapter board. I hope
this is the problem and my adapter is bad. Has anyone ever had a
problem with the .com to motm adapter from .com? Any suggestions on
what else could the problem be? the rest of my modules function great
but they are all .com and i believe my power supply is good. Also,
anyone selling any MOTM filters, LFO's, or the MOTM-120.
thanks,
-michael-

All .com powersupplies are +/-15v and +5v, even the NOS, if I'm not
mistaken.

I can't answer the question about the .com adapter, but the 995 power
distribution board works great and makes sense: you plug in *ONE*
power cable from your .com powersupply and you can power six MOTM
modules. I'm currently powering a 440, 510, 390, and Blacet TM with
no problems (as well as a host of .com modules).

Michael: did you try swapping out the power cable connected to the
adapter?

Hans
