Re: [motm] CEM 3394

I have often thought that the 3394 might be fun to play with. I recently inherited and repaired a non-working Multi-Trak based around these chips. I think it has an interesting sound. I was certainly amazed at the apparent simplicity of the design. Perhaps schematics for one of these old Sequential machines that uses them might be a good reference and starting point. I need to get some anyway as I have been unable to get my pitchbend wheel working. The wheel is providing voltage for the circuit. And, it works via MIDI. So, there is probably some component downstream of the wheel. Anyhow, I think it would be fun to play with these "voice on a chip" ICs. I imagine some of the guys over at S-DIY have been down that road before. Larry H

I have sometimes thought about the fun of having some of these in a 3-space module format to use with the MOTM. Paul has these chips too. I have a Sequential sixtrak and the sounds might be worth looking into.
