synth in a module does sound like fun indeed!! screw old CEM's, lets do it SMT discreet, custom MOTM specified mono- module!! we just got an address of a good PCB supplier... one osc with sub, vcf, vca ad/ar env gens....3u? i guess panel space is our biggest enemy with this one.. who knows.. anyway, a list of new synths that have a special chip that know of -Sid Station.. MOS-6581 synthesis at its finest... awesome!! check out elektrons new MachineDrum, another truly awesome piece of gear.. -Droid-3.. www.droid.dk. based on the same TIsound-FX chip as Blacet's: -DarkStarChaos.. modular implementation of the TI FX chip. -NanoLoop, and LittleSoundDJ.. these are gameboy carts that use the internal sound chips of the gameboy. NanoLoop is more of a "Synth" per se, while LSDj is a tracker songwriting program AND a synth to make up your sounds, plus sampled drums and in the newest OS, voice phenome samples to make your own words.. Very powerful Gameboy cartridge there folks!! pretty fun.. for a while. maybe on a plane or in jail. :) any more? www.sid2.com never got off the ground. funny boxes! ~Steve M
