Oakley MOTM '410 Assist Module

Oakley MOTM '410 Assist Module

2001-05-09 by Tentochi

Tony Allgood has the 410 Companion PCBs about ready to ship for those of you
not on the Oakley ML. Tony has been really sick the past week or so. He is
working on getting up a web page for the new module. I am sure he will post
an official product release announcement to this list also when everything
is ready to go.

The PCBs will be 14 UK pounds each. He is also doing a pot kit for 4 UK
pounds each. Tony said there is no need for a hard-to-find parts kit for
this one. I would be willing supply a full parts kit if enough people are
interested. Please let me know privately if you are.

I know a FP has been under consideration for this one. I hope Stooge power
will come through again.

I ased Tony to rename the module. The current name and what is printed on
this first batch of PCBs is OMS-410. I feel the 410 nomenclature could be a
little confusing at times. I still think we should keep pushing for him to
use an unused number for this module such as OMS-411 or OMS-419. Hopefully
Paul, Larry and Dave will also address this with Tony.

Can't wait to build mine. Of couse you have to have the incredible MOTM 410
module to do anything with the new Oakley module. Are you stocked up on
'410s Paul?

Cheers!

Thanks Shemp... You beat me to it. All the information is now on-line
at:

http://www.techrepairs.freeserve.co.uk/oms-410.htm

Feel free to change to name on the front panel to whatever you wish, but
it does say OMS-410 on the PCBs I'm afraid. I'll only get confused if I
change the name right now. :-)

BTW: There's MOTM compatible Schaeffer panel database on the site for
one particular implementation of the PCB. User Guide to come next week I
hope.

Cheers,

Tony <- who is feeling a lot better today

I doubt if we will change the name. One is MOTM-410, the other is OMS
410 - makes perfect sense to me :)
