MOTM

I soldered in a resistor and it was poppin' a wheely!  So I loosened up the
solder with my soldering gun and pushed it back in with my pliers.  In the
process, a little flake of paint chipped off of the resistor.  Should I be
concerned about this?

Don't sweat it-as long as the body of the resistor isn't cracked it's 
not a problem. Just put a small dab of nail polish over the spot 
that's exposed to keep out moisture.
