For quantizing applications the wavetable output is used as a control voltage. In this mode the Miniwave is set to the 0-10V scale, which takes positive input voltages and puts out positive voltages. A quantizer PROM has a table that translates the incoming voltage to the nearest quantized value, assuming a 1V/octave control voltage. The standard Blacet PROM has 16 quantized scales, and the Quantizer PROM offers 256. http://stretta.com/~matthew/resources/waveproms/index.html (Too bad these are not currently available.) -Richard Brewster Jeff Laity wrote: > When you do this, are you using the PCM sample wave playback as an > audio source or as a control voltage? > > On Jan 15, 2005, at 4:05 PM, Richard Brewster wrote: > > Many of us use the Wiard/Blacet Miniwave as a quantizer.
