I don't remember about the shipping charge, but I did have a funny happenstance with a Mouser back order. It was a couple of CMOS chips and took several months to come. The funny thing is that I placed another order in the mean time and the chips were now in stock, so I ordered them again. I received this second order a couple of months ahead of the back order. As a result, I've decided not to order anything that is not in stock with Mouser. An unrelated tip. I wanted a chip listed in their print and PDF catalog that did not show up in the parts search and could not be added to the online orderform. So I simply requested it in the notes section of the order and they included it. -Richard Brewster ----- Original Message ----- From: "drg3orge" <doc@...> To: <motm@yahoogroups.com> Sent: Monday, March 17, 2003 12:58 PM Subject: [motm] OT:Mouser > h3y all, > i have a couple of questions for those of you who order through > mouser. > 1. have you ever been charged shipping for a backordered item? > i was charged $6.50 for $2.50 worth of pots, which has never > happened to me before. > 2. have they ever lost an order? > i am afraid i am about to take it in the a$$ on the largest order > i've ever placed with them. they swear they've shipped, but the > tracking # supplied 5 days ago is still invalid according to the > shipper. > has anyone had anything like this happen? this took me by > surprise as i've never had a problem with them in 2.5 years... > thanks, > doc >
