Yep, simultaneous performance of audio instruments like the ESX24 would be great for drums - but this feature would be desirable even for just splitting and layering melodic instrument parts. Currently you can't get more than one audio instrument to respond to unrecorded midi input simultaneously so the splits and layers any midi module/sampler will perform are not possible. I also really miss the range settings which audio instrument parameter boxes lack. I often record two parts simultaneously using a split patch eg bass and synth. I then copy the recorded sequence and send the range on each side of the split to separate instruments using the range parameters in the part boxes for each copy. This is not possible with audio instruments as they lack the range parameters so you need to remove the notes you don't want manually in an editor window. Regards, Murray R
