Disk Drive problem?

Disk Drive problem?

2008-11-25 by pauldays1

Hello Gang,

I have an EMAX II and I was formatting a disk, after it was formatted,
I decided to play a song before I sampled a sound. When I inserted an
Original EMAX II disk, it prompts "disk not formatted", hence any
other disk i pop in.

Is there a general reset or something? Or is the drive dead? If so,
where can I get a replacement, I'm pretty sure at my Mac dealer I can
get a Mac drive, legacy albeit, if so, please advise.

Paul

What about the drive having to start like in sector "0" or something?
Cause a block from me is a computer surplus for PCs/

you have to make it ID 0.

have a look in the back, or in the back of the logic board and find
DS0 DS1 solder points (should be in DS1), and with a solder change it
to DS0.

easy as a pie (you only need a minimun solder skill).
