Emax

I installed a 540meg hard drive, a Quantum Lightning to be exact, 
into my EmaxII.. It seems to be working perfectly, except for this 
NASTY **high pitch** whine that just rings in the ears like mad (note 
that this high pitch whine was not present before the hard drive was 
installed).. The volume slider on the EmaxII doesn't affect how loud 
the squeel is either - even when the volume on the emaxII is all the 
way down, the whine is just as prevelant as before, and it seriously 
hurts the ears... Any suggestions on getting rid of this whine short 
of removing the hard drive?
