Although the squeal may have begun when you put in the hard drive
there is a chance that this is the classic high pitch squeal caused by
the LED. See my website for details. If it is your hard drive you might
try to reseat your hard drive using some rubber washers as insulators.
The sound itself is not coming out of the outputs it's coming out of the
unit. Mine does it on ocassion at boot up and that's without a hard
drive installed but after a few minutes it stops.
