Emax

Have you tried a floppy disk cleaner?A long shot but worth a try 
cause you can buy them for peanuts........

similar to your probs. My floppy seems spastic too, sometimes is OK 
but often finicky and hard to get booted. I am beginning to think it 
may be errors along the way not from the floppy. These old machines 
run hot and mine starts thumping after half our. I installed a 
computer fan inside and helped a little, but know that I need 
electronic repair. Your floppy may be fine and trouble from errors
