thats from the eps site is from me yes a 7720uw will work but it has to be external as its to slow for the asr10 from boot so you have to switch on the external device at least 1 to 2 minutes before the asr10 or it wont see it
the only one that worked inside the machine is the iodata as it was faster so that the asr10 would see itas for flashing the floppy emulator if its possible to flash them with out removing the ic thats a good thing but some one need to write the firmware so that it works like the hxc but as seeing it uses totally different tech

Firware can be flashed directly using a usb>ttl driver. no need flashing then soldering flash onto pcb.
