Regarding flashing the Gotek floppy emulators, I found this interesting article.
According to the author of the article "Transforming the Gotek Floppy Emulator into an Amiga Floppy Emulator"
http://cortexamigafloppydrive.wordpress.com/2014/02/03/transform-the-gotek-floppy-emulator-into-an-amiga-floppy-emulator/
Firware can be flashed directly using a usb>ttl driver. no need flashing then soldering flash onto pcb.

And then I found another interesting post on the ESP16+ via yahoo group Ensoniq-ASR10-EPS16
"the acard 7720uw and a hot swap drive works with the eps16+ as an external device the problem with the acards is that they are slow for the interrogation routine and so come back with no scsi disk enter floppy disk

but with an external drive if you switch it on 1-2 mins before the eps16+ and it will boot"

thats because he does not right the firmware it is the 7720uw firmware form acard that he uses he flashes them with the mac firmware version but you can use the firmware utilities from acard to flash them to any of the firmwares

as for the floppy emulators no it does not work with the ensoniq

and same again you are going to buy the device and try with the eps16+ as the only ever cards i got to work were the iodata ones and i sold my last one to james sanger

the floppy emulators those flash chips need to be flashed before they are soldered into place you cant flash them once they are soldered you need to desolder them then flash them

by the time you have learnt all this a hxc emulator would of been the best bet for floppy emulation the slim versions with no lcd are £50 so thats not a bad price and you know it works

Do you guys think it would work with an Ensoniq ESP16+ with SCSI? (just scored this for $49.00 at a thrift store, another sweet sounding early digital, that can do awesome transwaves!)

Dear Sir.

I am sorry that I have heard CF RaizinMonster does not work well with Emax I. It works Emax II or later.
I do not have a plan firmware update. Sorry.

Best Regards.

Save your money boys and girls. RaizinMonster is not compatible w/ Emax 1 as confirmed to me by the manufacturer last night. Emax II users would likely have success w/ this one though.
