If you print out the upgrade instructions and take the kit to any decent electronics repair shop, they should be able to do it for you.
It takes me about 35 minutes to complete the modifications to the board, and another 10 minutes or so to test it out and verify it's working. So figure labor would likely be 1 hour - 1.5 hours at the shop rate.

I expect you would probably have to take a SCSI drive with you so they could test it.... or if your local university has electronics courses, you might find a student that would be interested to do it for you as a project, since they gain practical experience...
