Bad to worse Emax/PCD 50B Installat

2013-12-02 by Windrumscoggin

I disconnected to HD and FDD to install the PCD 50b and when removing to 50 pin from the main board in order to to put in a longer SCSI cable I bent a pin in the Mainboard connector on the end.
I straightened it out ok with needle nose and put in the longer SCSI cable.
When turning on turning the EMax I know get 'emu diagnostics' on the LED and it just sits there in that mode and never changes I Also's had no power/light up to the PCD
I then disconnected the the PCD and reconnected the internal HD and FDD and now when it boots it must says 'loading software' but never fully boots.
Man I got a way of making things worse than they were to start.

I installed the PCD 50B, but I can't get it to correctly format a Compact Flash card. Every time it produces an "HD Format Error" or freezes on "Formatting HD..." indefinitely. In one case, the unit froze while it was saving a bank to the formatted disk.
