Bc2000 (for the BCF2000 & BCR2000)

Hi,

Does anybody know about a SYX - BCR2000 Preset for E-Mu Vintage Keys ?

The Vintage Keys 19' (menu with 3 buttons) is quite hard / slow to program.

I would greatly appreciate any hints for a SYX file to load into the BCR,

Yesterday i managed to receive the sysex sent by my old Midi Quest software in the BCR via Learn Mode. Midi Quest has has a preset for the Vintage Keys including almost all parameters!!

However, problems occur exactly at the points you described at negative values and also at switching filter modes, and values above 127 etc..

So a workaround is to assign two knobs for minus values or for value ranges above 128, e.g.:

- left pan (-7) and right pan (+7): 2 knobs for each instrument - total 4 knobs for panning)
- 4 individual knobs for presets for 0-127, 128-255, 256-384, 384-512

I prefered not to mess with the sysex this time.
Maybe its good enough like this. If you have a nicer solution i would appreciate any comments.

When the preset and the assignment .doc is is ready (next week or so)  I'll upload the files in the Presets directory.

Normally these should be switched by Banks which is CC0 and CC32 that you could assign to switches, but in your case you only get 128 presets accessible at one time via Midi.
You have to build a Program map, for example assigning preset 400 to slot 23 then send midi program change 23 and you get preset 400
manual p21
page 108 talks about it having 6 banks of 64  presets, but I can't see if you can select the banks and then send preset select message.

A lot of the useful parameters are already mapped to CC , see page 116
This might be enough?

Hi,

strangely, the CC Messages (p. 116) sent via BCR are not recognized by the VK, when programmed as normal knob CC parameters in the BCR.
