Akai S1000 / S1100 samplers

Hi Folks

can someone please tell me if i can install a standard floppy drive into my S1100 or do i need to purchase a specific product?

Hi Rish

its a possibility i agree but i cant think what as its a pretty straight forward procedure.
i've followed the instructions laid out in the manual just in case.
i have the channels as they should and the connections as they should yet the sampler will still not recognise the drive.

to add, i've just hooked my roland sampler up and the zip drive shows up on that no problems.

like i say, i think the issue may be with the SCSI port as i cant think of anything else?

is this fixable or is it a case of finding a replacement?

Thanks for the reply mate, i've been through all options and it seems the IB-103 card has an issue as i first thought.

its not good news at all if so as they dont come up to often from what i see.

Hopefully i can do a fix on it

Then you will need about a 20in 50 pin IDE cable with ends on it, that will allow you plug in your new internal drive. Make sure you have it plugged in the correct direction pin 1 stripe on cable. If you make a mistake with the cable it won't damage anything but won't work correctly.
