SDSV modules in SDS7?

SDSV modules in SDS7?

2010-05-14 by Chris

Hi guys,

Can you install SDSV modules into an SDS7 brain? I'm sure I've seen this done somewhere, or is this just one of my many weird Simmons dreams that I have?

If it is possible, how much modification do they require? (if any)

Cheers

Chris

First rule: Everything _can_ be modified!
Second rule: Not everything is _good_ to modify.

First of all you need a saw to adopt the front panel(s). I haven't
checked the circuits and power lines, but the trigger levels are
different and I bet there are other issues too.

Without further investigation I'd say that it's better to save up for a
SDS-V... and maybe, it was a dream. I haven't seen any bastard like that. :)

Jesper's right - you could figure out a way to cram it in there. But, it would take some serious egg-heading and cost way more than buying an average condition SDSV. Guess it's time to start shopping for that SDSV.
