Everybody feel free to use the feedback form on the right hand side of the page:

English:
http://www.thomann.de/gb/news_msg_piuw_piuw_piuw.html

French:
http://www.thomann.de/fr/news_msg_piuw_piuw_piuw.html

German:
http://www.thomann.de/de/news_msg_piuw_piuw_piuw.html

Durch:
http://www.thomann.de/nl/news_msg_piuw_piuw_piuw.html

By the way: Probably someone can explain why on the dutch and german sites it says "peow peow" while in other countries it is "piuw piuw" and in Portugal it is even "bing bang bong". For Finland Thoman could not even offer any translation. I am confused....

I clicked "I found a mistake" and left the following bitter comment:

"Re-branding chinese crap with the Simmons logo was never a nice thing
to do. It's also debated and has been the target of legal discussions.
Dave (the orginal) Simmons isn't too happy about Guitar Centre use of
the name and logo.

We who love and use the original Simmons drums feel saddened by the fact
that a good online store like Thomann markets these crap kits and isn't
ashamed to mention a lot of major bands that used the original Simmons
kits and wouldn't even on a bad day glance towards these new _toys_.

I just received a feedback of Thomann's CEO where he promised to "draw the conclusion" from the facts which I had previously explained (whatever that means...)

I saw that a month ago...& sent it to who you know ...

Today it's a step further with that communications of famous vintage
bands using the kit ...Why such a lie ???
I just sent a mail to Thoman's manager to ask them really what's the
goal ?
Simmons isn't known from the young spotty teenagers, & the old guys
that are knowing Simmons won't never buy such a low cost kit...
Is it worth risking their image ?
even if it was written "Saab" or "Audi" on the kit it would be sold
the same price ...

Weird & stupid ... anyway...

Hope to hear some good news about it one day ...

See you later...
Patrice.

it's a sick and cruel world, i wonder if Dave is going to take his name back like Robert Moog did ?

he's probably very bissy doing what he's doing right now and do not even care?

Thomann.de seems to part with GC Simmons

2009-12-23 by superwolle70

Hi group,
the "Simmons" features (see links below) do not work anymore. Furthermore the only "Simmons" gear that is for sale anymore on Thomann.de, "the exclusive european distributor for Simmons" is the SDHB2 at a clearance sale price near zero but still far too expensive, the SD1 practise pad and the DA-50 amplifier. No more SDK5, SDK7, SDK9.
Poor GC
Merry Christmas

Maybe our whining letters to Thomann had an impact after all! :)

I see the amps and the practice pad too, but none of the "pro"
(giggles!) sets. They do however sell Millenium sets as an alternative
budget path. I like to believe that this group have made different there...

I have received mails from people who have said they will or have
thought about returning their crap sets after having heard the truth.
I've also blocked quite a few who wanted to join, seeking info about
their non-working GC-crap.

Sweet! :)
