sds9 pads

hello your sds 9 pads will work with any drum module with a pad trigger input ie roland td range , yamaha dtx range , alesis dm4 ,5 the trigger is a simple thing called a pizeo transducer in fact your pads will work with some of the real rubbish like the ion kits hope this helps.

Thanks for the tips. I do have an Alesis DM4 and it has some glitches. For example, if I hit 2 pads at the same time, one of them cancels out. Unless, there's a setting in DM4 that I'm not aware of.

The 2 channels could setup to act as a hihatcontroller where "open hihat"
channel would get cut off when "closed hihat" is played.

Sounds like it's some weird setting or the input board cannot handle the
simple triggers, which sounds weird to me.

OT: Regarding triggering two pads at the same time: The Star Instruments
Synare PS-1 have tuneable hitting surfaces, but if you hit two it's not
like on other analogue gear. On them you often get highest note priority
etc. The Synare puts the voltages together for an even higher pitch than
the highest tuned. Odd and very useful still... :D

Hi, have you tried re-initializing the D4, press and hold two buttons while powering up. I just don't remember which two, bear in mind, you will lose any saved settings. You may already know this, and have tried this shotgun approach to a fix, in which case disregard.
