Alesis Trigger IO Usb w SDS9 Pads Unwanted Triggering

Anyone else using SDS9 pads with a usb midi trigger? I am getting unwanted triggers like crazy when playing in a loud live situation. I have been trying to tweak the gain, threshold, and x talk on the Alesis IO, but with mixed results. Could the extra triggering be due to the pads themselves or even the Simmons drum stand? Thanks for any advice. -Jeff
