Actually, I would like to replace the transformer in my 240V SDSV. And I'm in the US. Can we work the details (payment, shipping, etc.) via email?

Thanks,
Jim

Hello,
to enhance your chance getting rid of the SDS7 transformer: It can be used (by changing the connections) for 240 (orange), 220 (pink), 120 (brown) and 100 (white) Volts. The other connection to the primary coil is always black. So, now you can start a worldwide offer!
B.t.w.: This is also the way to get rid of voltage-changing devices.
And it is NOT possible with these SDSV transformers.

Michael

Oh, I forgot: If you change the wiring of the SDS7s transformer to other voltages, check the FUSE: In case of 220/240V the fuse should be 1A, 100/120V 2A.

Michael,

Im not sure I should take this post positively :) Haha....

So, what youre saying, the SDS-7 transformer is universal. Are all SDS-7
transformers like this, or where US SDS-7s sold with a 120V transformer
only ?

If not, this one is of no use to anyone who needs a conversion. It could
however be used if theres anyone who has a burnt out transformer that needs
changing.

This transformer came from a shipping-damaged SDS-7 that I parted out.
Actually I used three SDS-7s to build one fully equipped ( 12 card ) SDS-7.

You should take this positively! The transformer will match to any SDS7 on earth (I saw the pic, pink, white, orange prim coil conns a.s.o.). So anybody can use it as replacement. B.t.w.: Increase the price...

Re: [Simmons Drums] Parts for sale

One Of the SDS-V transformers is labelled 12013 and the other is 10013. I
suspect that one is for US voltage and the other is for Japanese voltage.

The US is spoken for.....

I bet there are SDS-Vs in Japan that needs a transformer. Price updated to
10 Euros.

Also, I have an MTM for sale. It is missing knobcaps and sometimes spits out
lots of triggers at random speed. Never managed to find the time to fix it.
Sold as is. 60 Euros. User and Service manual included.

I have a German MTM manual and bad condition. 5 Euros.
