SDS 8 stickers?

SDS 8 stickers?

2009-05-24 by milosakhamun

I am the proud new owner of a simmons SDS-8 although it will be a few weeks before I see it as I live in Australia and purchased it through ebay Germany. I'm excited! It will look great on stage in my 80's cover band www.myspace.com/newretroclub and for originals www.myspace.com/thegreenmatics. Although some people may dissaprove I am going to paint it. I was really after a SDS-9 in white but due to the difficulty of trying to find these kits in Australia had to settle on the black SDS-8. I would like to keep within original theme so does anyone have an accurate colour chart for the white used on this series/model? Does anyone know where I can get stickers from?

I know there have been stickers offered on Ebay. Otherwise it shouldn't
be too hard to make yourself either...

Pull up the image on the net and take it to a stencil-maker....have
them cut a stencil from the pdf image file and you can apply itas
needed where needed....cost for stencil....about twenty. Bucks.

The resolution of pics on the web is pretty poor and might lead to artefacts if you have them printed. An alternative might be just to copy it. The font is "Futura Light" and it is not very hard to copy. The frame can be drawn by e.g. any presentation software like Open Office, Keynote or -wurghs- Power Point
