Hello all, How much do you think is reasonable for an SDX tom/snare pad these days ? I wouldn't have a clue as never seen any for sale for ages. Thanks, Phil

Hey Phil, Keep in mind the snare pad is different in that it has a separate piezo rim trigger and 4-pin XLR connector as opposed to the FSR-only tom pads with 1/4" stereos. In light of this I'd say the snare is worth slightly more ESPECIALLY if it's not dry-rotted at all. Condition is a HUGE factor. The neoprene surfaces just didn't stand the test of time nearly as well as say the SDS9 rubber pads did. Too many factors to really determine what they would be worth although if they were in decent shape I'd say at least a hundred rocks USD per pad. - Roland http://www.myspace.com/roland_brenner http://home.rr.com/zengine -- "Phil Murray" <philmurr@...> wrote: Hello all, How much do you think is reasonable for an SDX tom/snare pad these days ? That was the new price ... Take in consideration the FSR isn't new neither... Cheers guys, They're definitely not in A1 condition but it's so difficult to put a price on something when they so rarely come up for sale. Thanks for that extra info Roland, I'd completely forgotten about the difference in the snare connector. and he is not to good in the art of maths (6 pads?? I count 8) on the other hand, the price is not to bizar. perhaps he used to play with coloured drumsticks?? that's why the rubber looks worn of the pads mostly used the blue pads, are they original?? >-- Oorspronkelijk bericht -- >To: Simmons_Drums@yahoogroups.com >From: "Thomas" <meadowpatrol@...> >Date: Fri, 29 Apr 2011 03:24:07 -0000 >Subject: [Simmons Drums] Re: SDX pads in Nashville >Reply-To: Simmons_Drums@yahoogroups.com > > > > >--- In Simmons_Drums@yahoogroups.com, "Ed" <edrose1@...> wrote: >> >> Any of you SDX guys need pads? >> http://nashville.craigslist.org/msg/2345741532.html >> I have nothing to do with these - just saw the ad and wanted to pass it >along. >> >Hello SDX-heads, > >Don't bother with this guy, the pads look rusted and found in the trash bin!!

Thanks Ed for forwarding...
But so Sad... the rubber must seems completely dryed & destroyed on most of the pads...
Much too expensive when you see that...
Otherwise I would have bought them with pleasure, as mine are also getting old...
I don't mind about the bottom shells (I have quite a few spare ones ;-) but the top rubber must be fine...
Very good luck to the future buyer...
Patrice.
