Yes, seems like it is in good shape. But this got me thinking;

Does anyone on this list use the Trixer for anything useful? :-o

Good question Jes !

Does anybody know much about these? I'm intrigued by the fact that this has microphone inputs for acoustic drums. I also understand that the Trixer shares some of the SDX sounds. I imagine that the upgrade added even more sounds/features. I've never seen one with the upgrade and the little bugs ( They're so cute !!! ) included. - Roland

Hi Jesper,

the trixer has the sounds of SDS2000...so it sounds very very digital,
well far from Bruford or Neil Peart analog sounds...
I still don't have one in my "museum" but I don't miss it even if it's
a nice piece of gear...
Maybe one day, when I'll find a cheap one. ;o )

Patrice.

Hi Roland,

I heard one a long time ago...
Even if it shares SDX samples ... it doesn't really sound like an SDX...
not the same audio converters, filters ...etc ...

But it can be interesting. In cold & "cutting through" sounds ...

I never tested how efficient it can be in a triggering situation ...6
voices is a bit limited compared to a ddrumAT or 3...

I never knew about the "II" upgrade version...
Someone told me it was quite the same ...

anyway that 's all really I could say about it ...
But they're so cute... aren't they !!!

Patrice.

Trixer II

2012-03-17 by philmurr

Hi all - just got my hands on an immaculate Trixer II. Incredible bit of kit, very underrated.

It was complete with the manual for the original Trixer, but does anyone know what the differences were between the Trixer and Trixer II ?

Thanks, Phil.

Hi Phil,

well I knew , but I must say ,I forgot ...
I think they corrected some bugs & maybe increased sounds memory size ...
I'm not sure...

I always expected it sounding like an SDS2000 ... would you confirm ?

it would be nice if you could do a small review of it.
take care,
Patrice.

I have both versions with the 12 triggers and the only difference is the Footswitch input next to the Midi thru, is not labelled because they used the same chassis from the trixer I.
There is not improvements in the circuits whatsoever and the reverb is still awfully noisy.

cheers

Clive
