I imagine it was Daniel Miller s influence at that time, but imho the TR808 and SDSV combo used on A Broken Frame resulted in the definitive electronic drum

Very interesting book for all the Simmons addicted. A real pity that all pics that appear on the book are in black and white (and even then is a great book).

I think that the brown wire is pin 6, which will make it +15V unregulated. From the schematics this definitely looks unregulated, (and unsmoothed too!),

The PSU voltages available should be; 1) +12v regulated 2) +10v unregulated - this could range from around 8 - 12v normally 3) +5v regulated 4) -6.5v regulated
