Vintage Simmons Drums (UK) Users Group

The MTM does exactly what you are hoping it does.  I use two MTM's 
(one for my SDSV and the other for an SDS7) and they work 
wonderfully.  

Via Midi the SDSV will react just as if you were triggering it from a 
pad, velocity changes and all - so does the SDS7.  I trigger the 
brains in a variety of ways via the MTM.  I use a MidiKat to 
incorporate the Simmons stuff along with other samplers and sound 
modules, but also trigger them from my keyboard and my sequencer
(Sonar).
