Re: [Simmons Drums] OK dudes... MTM info

2004-04-09 by david pinnington

hi jesper et al......
i have a mtm manual around here somewhere i'll dig it out
it was one of those products way ahead of it's time and very complicated and clunky for what it was supoosed to do
(goes up stairs for manual)
according to the diagrams for setting up you should be able to trigger a sds 5
remember back the the sds v was not that old and not thought of as legecy product
what i can't work out from looking at the manual is if you'd get velocity sensitive output although i suspect you would as it goes in to great detail about threshold out puts and dynamics
what the hell if you have the ££$$ just buy it anyway then you know it's in safe hands..................
cheers
dp

I though MTM was their MIDI mixer and the only thing MIDI about it was
the ability to change programs of mixer settings. I bought one when
they first came out and it died on me after a couple months. I took it
to be repaired and haven't seen it since. After months and months of
asking about it, I forgot about it and when I finally, after a few
years asked about it again and was told it's "probably" long gone.
Needless to say I no longer deal at ALL with Medley Music in Bryn Mawr,
PA, USA. I took a keyboard there once for a battery change and had it
returned with a knob missing that was there when I brought it in.
